Progress of the work

In the video we can see the progress of the paving work being carried out by Carbonell Figueras inside the APM TERMINALS Container Port Terminal located in the Port of Algeciras.

Once the 9,000 m2 of the patio area has been completed, work continues on the main road of the Juan Carlos I Phase I quay with an additional extension of approximately 5,300 m2.

In this phase, the work includes the complete demolition of the existing platform, which has deteriorated considerably over the years, followed by the in situ stabilization of the platform with recycled gravel and cement, the construction of 6 new drainage collectors with a diameter of Ø400 and the installation of a 170 ml continuous rainwater collection channel of the GATIC type.

The work will continue until the first quarter of 2025, according to plans tailored to the needs of the Terminal itself.
